CHILD LURES PREVENTION MANDATORY PRESENTATION

FOR Kinder though 5th grade

Dear Parents/ Guardian,

Your child will attend the mandated Child Lures Prevention on  Saturday, November 7 from 11:00AM to 12:00PM in Kelly Hall. Students must be in Kelly Hall at 10:45AM.

Child Lures Prevention helps ensure the personal safety of children and youth through increased awareness, education, advocacy and action. The Child Lures Prevention Program is required by the Diocese.

La prevención de Atraje de niños (abuso infantil) ayuda a garantizar la seguridad personal de los niños y jóvenes a través de incrementar conocimiento, educación, promoción y la acción.  

El Programa de Prevención de Atraje de Niños es requerido por la Diócesis de Brooklyn Y Queens.

LA FIESTA DE TODO LOS SANTOS

Estimados Padres / Tutores,

El domingo 1 de Noviembre es la Solemnidad o Fiesta de Todos los Santos. Este es  el día en que la Iglesia honra a todos los santos la comunión de los santos quienes juntos cantan gloria y alabanza a Dios Padre. La Fiesta es un día de celebración familiar. Este año, les pedimos que su hijo(a) participa en nuestra celebración disfrazándose como un santo o un ángel. Esta es una gran oportunidad para hablar con su hijo(a) acerca de sus amigos en el cielo y aprender acerca de un santo en específico. También animamos a todos a ser creativos al elegir un santo o un ángel para disfrazarse. Algunos ejemplos de los santos que su hijo(a) puede elegir para disfrazarse: La Santísima Virgen María (en uno de sus muchos títulos), San Miguel, Santa Teresa de Lisieux, la Bendita Madre Teresa, San Francisco de Asís, el Bendito Papa Juan Pablo II, y mucho más!!

Las ideas son infinitas cuando se trata de elegir un santo! Si necesita ayuda para obtener algunas ideas creativas en cual santo a su hijo(a)

FEAST OF ALL SAINTS DAY 

October 11, 2015

Dear Parents/ Guardian,

On Sunday, November 1st is the Solemnity or Feast of All Saints. This is the day the Church honors  the entire Communion of Saints who together sing glory and praise to God the Father. The Feast Day is  a family day of celebration. This year, we ask that your child participates in our celebration by dressing up as a Saint or angel.  This is a great opportunity to talk to your child about their friends in heaven and learn about a specific saint. We also encourage everyone to be creative when choosing a saint to dress up as, or dress up as an angel. Some examples of saints that your child can dress up as are:  Blessed Virgin Mary (under one of her many titles),  Saint Michael,  Saint Therese of Lisieux,  Blessed Mother Teresa,  Saint Francis of Assisi,  Blessed Pope John Paul II,  And so much more!!

The ideas are endless when it comes to choosing a saint! ** If you miss registration date, registration will continue on Monday July 27th and every Monday during the Summer from 5PM - 8PM until Monday, August 24th. **

- Baptismal certificate is required at time of registration

- For those registering for Confirmation, First Holy Communion certificate required

We have checked with with Church and everything has been shoveled and salted.

The weather report says it will change over to rain tonight, and will be well above freezing tomorrow.

Father Walker's Going Away Party!!!!

Happy New Year Everyone!!!

As most of you know already, Father Walker has been transferred to a new parish.  St. Agatha will be sending him off with a Farewell Party on Sunday January 11, 2015.  Because Kelly Hall will be set up the night before, we are CANCELING class on that day.

THERE WILL BE NO CCD CLASSES ON SUNDAY JANUARY 11, 2015

Tickets for this party are sold out, sorry.

There will be another get together on Jan. 18, 2015 right after the 12:15 Mass.  No tickets neccessary for this.  Everyone is welcome!
